Original sculpture by Vincenzo de Rossi (1525-1587) ,1550, Palazzo Vecchio Florence. Reproduced and signed by renowned artist C. Ruggerio , this small but powerful piece celebrates the strength and beauty of the human form. The stunning sculpture depicts the legendary heroes Hercules and Diomedes in one of the 12 mythical labors of Hercules. Intricate details of the figures bring to life the epic mythological tale of these two warriors. C. Ruggerio is well known for his very collectible reproductions. This piece was purchased in Florence, Italy in 1971 and kept with care to maintain its' beauty for over 50 years.
