Description
Rare miniature bronze sculpture of the half human half goat ancient Greek god of the forest, Pan, up on one leg playing two pipes. This Pan sculpture has lots of age and is beautifully crafted, suggesting it might have been made in Italy as a Grand Tour piece in the late 19th-early 20th century. It is made of bronze with verdigris highlights. It depicts the satyr with goat legs and a human upper body dancing joyfully as he plays two flutes. It's cast onto a round bronze base. It measures 3.25" tall by 1.5" wide by 2" deep. A fantastic little bronze for your collection.
