Knossos Bull-leaping (Ancient Greek: ταυροκαθάψια, taurokathapsia) is a type of non-violent bull fighting. It involves an ancient ritual from the Minoan Civilization of an acrobat leaping over the back of a charging bull. Ritual Bull Leaping is often associated with rites performed in the worship of bulls in the Middle Bronze Age. Knossos is a Bronze Age archaeological site in Crete. The site was a major center of the Minoan civilization and is known for its association with the Greek myth of Theseus and the minotaur. Condition: Antique/Vintage Pre Owned. Some Patina.
