Description

Untitled Document BRONZE HANDCRAFTED STATUE WARRIOR HORSE MYTHOLOGY DETAILED SCULPTURE ON MARBLE Saint George is seated atop his gallant stallion while slaying the dragon with his lance. The people of Silene in Lybia would feed the dragon sheep daily to appease him and prevent town destruction. After the sheep were all sacrificed, the people fed it their children, who were chosen by lottery. Unfortunately, the lot fell on the King`s daughter and she stood decked out as a bride to be fed to the dragon. When the dragon reared its ugly head out of the lake, St. George happened to be passing by and came charging vehemently on horseback attempting to rescue the daughter of the King of Silene. In the end, the brave warrior managed to grievously injure the beast. The intricate details of this fine bronze sculpture range from St. George's armor to the defiant pose of the stallion and the repulsive, porous skin of the dragon. St. George and the stallion work in tandem to battle the fierce enemy. Their facial expressions display defiance, determination, and righteousness. Bring this significant piece of history home and let it entertain and engage the observers. 100% bronze hot cast by lost wax method guaranteed.
